Jenga House Project in Palanga
This apartment building, designed and completed by the studio, is located in a developing part of Palanga, where the surrounding development has not yet established a clear urban character. The building and its setting were shaped with the distinctiveness of the resort town and the emerging structure of the neighbourhood in mind.
The overall volume of the building is divided into three rectangular blocks. This decision reduces the building's overall scale and creates a lighter massing. The spaces formed between the individual blocks give the building more dynamism and visually break up its bulk.
Light-coloured facade materials were chosen to give the building a sense of lightness and softness. A restrained colour palette and laconic forms help create an architectural character befitting a resort environment.
The surroundings are shaped using vegetation typical of the seaside. The planting complements the architecture, provides privacy, and creates cosy outdoor spaces. The landscape is designed for residents' leisure and everyday time spent outdoors.
