Curved House Project in Palanga
The form of this private residence was chosen in response to the pine trees growing on the plot. The volume of the building is set among the trees, so it is partly hidden within the natural surroundings and becomes a part of them. Glazed facades rising over two storeys open outwards, letting plenty of natural light into the interior and framing views of the landscape.
The pitched roof gives the house a character typical of the coastal region. The facades are clad in fiber cement panels, whose dark color and natural texture help the building blend into its surroundings. Set among trees, with a dark facade and a pitched roof, the house has a restrained character that stays close to nature.
